I love red and white:

We are supposed to get a lot of snow and very cold temperatures this week!
Here is a picture of how much snow we have on the ground right now:

and how much ice we have on our lake:

I took this picture the other day and my husband emailed it into our local news station. They like to show pictures local people take. Right before the weather report they aired this picture with my name! My daughter called to congratulate me and I just laughed and told her what my husband did before he sent this picture!
Can you tell what’s wrong with this picture?

It’s upside down!

Wow! The camera was ready for once and we were in the right place at the right time to photograph these rainbows today!

The winds were howling the other night at 40 – 60 miles an hour. We only have one tree in our yard so we don’t usually don’t get branches down, just leaves and twigs.
Our neighbor has an old Sugar Maple which isn’t strong and the winds really can reak havic with it. Look what happened:

In the spring time, my mornings were the sun rising in pink colors.
But this time of year, the mornings are in gorgeous orange colors.
Doesn’t this sunrise just make you want start quilting something, cut some fabrics, or just sit and dream about the what colors you can play with!

Did you read the last post I did for the beagles about how hot it was?
HaHa….we live in Michigan and everyday it’s different!
I looked outside this morning - yuk……
coming down was a fine mist and it looked like a cold fall day!

I have been trying to take a picture of the Hummingbirds all summer and finally this morning I saw him, grabbed my good camera, went outside to take his picture. The battery was dead.
So…not giving up, rush back inside, got my little camera and got him:
Can you spot him?
This is my favorite color!
What’s yours?
