Pattern Review: Golden Layers

FREE pattern from BOM QUILTS!

My friend and pattern designer Tammy H. from BOM Quilts designed this quilt last year as a block of the month.  She did her thing, designing the pattern, making the quilt, taking picture and listing the free pattern.  When I saw it last year I thought,  how nice…..

This month I was the vendor at our quilt guild and wanted to showcase Christmas quilts. I asked her to send me this quilt sonce  as it was done with my fabric collection Royal Holiday.  She did and….

  WOW!  WOW!!  WOW!!!

What a difference from looking a picture to holding a finished quilt!

It’s so beautiful!  The pattern is simple, easy and fun!

I plan on keeping the outside border the same as the pattern:

Easy project for Gkids – Snowmen from Socks

My friend Tammy H. from BOM Quilts made these cutest Snowmen from white socks. She thought they were so easy and fun to make that the project would be great for Gkids!

You can read about how to do this in her blog: Quilt Therapy.

“As Seen In” Quiltmaker Nov/Dec 2008 Holly Daze tree skirt

Dazzale your tree with a festive skirt. Lisa England designed this tree skirt.  It looks more complex then it actually is — it’s very quick and easy to piece from simple shaples.

Everything you need is included in this kit to make a complete quilt.  Purchase your kit here: Holly Daze

Christmas in July

Yippiee! I did it!

I made a holiday quilt in July!! Now, my goal is to get it get it finished by Christmas.  Here it is the top is done! I’m going to embellish the white snowballs with embroidery and beading.

The pattern is Charlotte from Me & My Sister and the fabric I used was “Smores“. You can purchase kits here: Charlotte.  This pattern was easy to do and the top took me about 5 hours to make from cutting to assembling!

This pattern is charm pack friendly so try one of the other collections! Instead of white use a color.
