Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference!

Join this yearlong national challenge — spearheaded by American Patchwork & Quilting and sponsored by Fabric Shoppers Unite, among others — and help donate 1 million pillowcases to local charities. 

 

Here at Abbi May’s, we have put together pillowcase kits with fabrics from our shop.  Each kit inludes pattern and fabrics needed to make one “20 Minute Pillowcase”.  Our kits are precut so you only need a sewing machine, thread and iron!

This is really good:

FRIED RICE 

4 C. minute rice cooked
3 medium onions
l lb. bacon
3 thick slices ham, cubed
4 stalks celery
1 1/2 green pepper, cut up
10 oz. soy sauce
3/4 C. brown sugar

cook rice and cool.  Cook bacon.  Add ham to bacon and cook.  Add green peppers, onions, and celery and cook 15 minutes.  Add brown sugar and soy sauce, simmer 5 minutes.  Add to rice.  Makes a very big bowl.
