Red Tail Hawk

Yesterday, Abbi, Sammy and I walked out on the ice to so we could get a better view of this bird.
It’s a “Red Tail Hawk” and is about 1/4 mile away when I took this picture. It was eating lunch!

We were trying to sneak up on him and to get a better shot when he took off.
He’s right in the middle of the screen.

On our way back we saw this bird coming towards us:

Wow – could she fly!

Happy New year to ya’ll in the north. It is about 55 here, but bright and sunny. Erica and I went to the thrift store this am, and got a few nice things, cheap. Got a great pair of expensive shoes, 2.00. Just like new. Fun. Fran made chili, and Deb and fam are coming for supper. Fran watching LSU make fools out of themselves. They can do soooo much better. Like the blue eklectic stuff. Gorgeous ,yummy. Met a lady in
Hancocks this am(went there too) and she is making the pillowcase
dresses for little girls. I can see on of those is that stuff. Anyway, I made
2 purses out of the charm chistmas stuff you gave me, and I should win the prize. Did you and Diane do yours. The purse challenge, I mean. They
were fun to make. I made place mats for Fran’s mom for Christmas, and
all the sisters-in-law and step daughter think I should make to sell. They were a smashing hit. Isn’t that something? It was fun. Now Hancock has
their stuff on sale @75% off. So later. Miss you guys. love you guys. Happy Anniversary. 20 Years? We did 21. Wow.
