My friend Tammy Harrison (BOM Quilts) made a fun and easy quilt last weekend and she wanted to share it with us. She said “I just needed to quilt”!
So, if you get in one of those moods and need to quilt - use one layer cake and some fabric for a border wha-laa! - you have a quick and simple quilt!
The fabric she used was Urban Couture from Moda.
Bunny Quilt was made by Susan from Canada.
The fabrics used are SHIKI from In The Beginning Fabrics.
This turned turned out very pretty – WTG - SUSAN!
Her quilt was quilted by: Suzanne Brinckman.
Her shop is: www.quiltsoup.etsy.com

She use two of the Me and My Sister patterns Butterfly Fling Throw & Ten Cents (one on each side of the quilt)! The fabric used in her quilt is: Butterfly Fling. The quilt is hand tied because tops don’t match up for machine quilting.
Here are the pictures of her finished quilt.

James T. Kirk meaning anything to you?
If so, wait til May 9th 2009 !
Here’s a sneak peak of some of the new fabrics collections I have on order and will be arriving in early 2009. These are my favorites, look at all the blues!!!!
Moda: Turnovers and Sweet Rolls. The turnovers are sized to work with Moda’s layer cakes. Sweet rolls are 1 1/2″ x 44″ strips.

Hoffman: Willow (fabrics with item numbers PN026 – PN034)
from McKenna Ryan new collection.
The quality of this fabric is soooo different then most fabrics because it’s like a fine cotton and feels like silk!

Clothworks: Blue Palace
by Johnny Karwan from Clothworks. This collection is all blues!

Northcott: Krakow by Mark Lipinski.
These fabrics are based on the beautiful, traditional designs found on my collection of vintage Polish stoneware pottery .

Need a quick and easy breakfast omelet? Here’s one from my friend Jeannie:
Oven Denver Omelet:
Author wrote: rather than make omelets one at a time,
I put all my favorite ingredients into this baked
version.
Servings: 4-6
Ingredients:
8 eggs (option: use 6 whole eggs and 2 whites only)
1/2 cup half-and-half cream
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup finely chopped fully cooked ham*
1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
*substitute or add any of your favorite ingredients
such as cooked bacon or sausage
In a bowl, whisk the eggs and cream until light. Stir
in the cheese, ham, green pepper and onion. Pour into
a greased 9-in square baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees
for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
If you are serving a larger group, I would think it
would be better to make 2 or 3 separate pans rather
than double the recipe and put it in one pan (would
not cook as quickly or thoroughly). In fact, it would
be fun to make one with ham and onions and another
with bacon and no onions. You could serve this with
biscuits and fruit to make it a more balanced meal
