Sock Monkey Quilt Project!
My grandson Spencer told me he wanted a flannel Funky Monkey quilt for his birthday. He loves that fabric, so how could I say no? I needed something that would last many laundering’s and be kid-proof. I used 5 different fabrics @ 1/2 yard each and cut them into 10 @ 18″x18″ squares and made a giant 9-patch quilt for him. I sewed these squares together with 1/2″ seams but didn’t have time to put on a binding. So, using Moda Snuggles, I put right sides together, sewed, turned and top stitched! This project took a total of 3 hours to complete!

I enlisted the help of Grandma Jan (his other grandma) to make him PJ’s and a sock monkey. Well…..she is quite the sewer and look at what she came up with. The sock monkey matches the pj’s and has a little bag to put Spencer’s teeth in for the Tooth Fairy!
